First biogas-powered energy generation plant opens in Cesar

The palm oil company Gremca has launched the first energy generation plant in Colombia powered by biogas, located in the department of Cesar.

With this new project, the company aims to conserve the environment and generate employment opportunities, as well as create markets derived from natural sources in the agribusiness sector.

The construction of the plant involved an investment of nearly $11 billion.
